BOSTON, Massachusetts – Kleinfelder has announced that Margaret O’Meara has joined the firm as the Northeast Transportation Segment Leader. Working with leadership and technical teams across the Northeast, Margaret is responsible for client service, strategic planning, business development, and growth of Kleinfelder’s transportation practice.
With over 30 years of transportation experience in both the public and private sectors, Margaret promotes the key to successful leadership as effective communication and passion. She has demonstrated these traits within her diverse background spanning technical, operations, project management, client service, and business development disciplines.
“Margaret is a proven leader in the transportation industry who has gained the trust of many clients throughout her career by simply delivering on her promises,” commented Derek Fisher, Kleinfelder’s East Division Director. “We are excited to have Margaret advance Kleinfelder’s transportation practice as we continue to improve infrastructure throughout the region.”
Recognizing the importance of giving voice to the industry, Margaret has served locally and nationally for Women in Transportation (WTS) and was honored with the International Woman of the Year Award in 2012. She was also recognized as the New England Person of the Year by the Construction Management Association of America (CMMA). In 2016, Margaret was named one of Conference of Minority Transportation Officials’ (COMTO) Women Who Move the Nation, citing her “status and role in the transportation industry as an inspiration to all women.”
